Its made in China and resembles something that you could pick up in Target for much less.There is nothing special about the quality of the wood used. Its ok. The lamp once assembled greatly leans to one side and that is the reason for my frustration. Also there was a 1/4 inch glob of glue or some other substance sticking to part of the wood and metal where they meet. The wood seems damaged from that but I could live with this if the lamp was not so crooked. I turned the lamp 180 degrees to make sure it was not my wood floor that was the problem. The lamp leans in the opposite direction once turned.
